“Giannis Antetokounmpo’s free throws take longer than Rachel Nichols’ apology!”: NBA Twitter roasts the ESPN broadcaster over her weak apology
ESPN Broadcaster and Host Rachel Nichols faces heavy fire from NBA Twitter over her apology to Maria Taylor for her comments
The past day or two have not been the best at the ESPN studios. Rachel Nichols made some offending and racist comments about fellow broadcaster Maria Taylor. These comments have made the situation in ESPN studios tense and for NBA broadcasters and analysts everywhere.
Rachel is the host of ESPN’s ‘NBA: The Jump’, and a well-known sports reporter. Her comments about Maria Taylor and the BLM and Me Too movements have left a lot of people in splits. While Nichols has a clean reputation, comments like the ones she made cannot go by without being penalized. This controversy also got LeBron James’ spokesperson dragged along due to his controversial comments about the above-mentioned movements.
NBA Twitter roasts Rachel Nichols over her ‘apology’
When the episode of ‘NBA: The Jump’ aired this morning, it started with Nichols ‘apologizing’. The so-called apology lasted for less than 20 whole seconds and did not sound sincere at all.

NBA Twitter being what it is, picked on the same, and roasted Rachel over the same.

Nichols, being the media personality she is, should have at least gotten in a better apology. It remains to be seen what ESPN does with both Rachel and Maria Taylor. Taylor’s contract expires on Tuesday, which is at the start of the Finals.
