Former NBA All-Star Isaiah Thomas believes that Boston Celtics superstar Jayson Tatum has the potential to win the league MVP in the near future.

Jayson Tatum is easily one of the best young talents in the league right now. Despite being only 23-years-old, Tatum has proven to be amongst the top players, who will certainly be one of the future faces of the league.

In only four NBA seasons, the Boston Celtics star has achieved quite a lot of unreal feats and broken several records. He put up buckets at will this season, torching the league on fire.

Averaging 26.4 points, 7.4 rebounds and 4.3 assists (career-high in all three), Tatum also concluded the season with the most number of 50-point games (4).

Even though the Celtics didn’t quite make a huge impact in the postseason, the team will be content with the way JT’s game has been progressing so rapidly.

After a splendid individual season for Tatum, he even got selected on the 12-man roster to represent Team USA for the 2021 Tokyo Olympic Games.

He is not only the youngest player on the squad but also the first Celtics player to be a member of the Team USA basketball team in the Olympics since legend Larry Bird in 1992.

His selection on the team has been a no-brainer for the selectors who expect a lot from this young generational talent. Sharing the floor with some of the league’s best players like Kevin Durant, Bradley Beal, Damian Lillard and more, Jayson Tatum will surely be improving his game this offseason.
