“I’ve never seen that during a game before!”: Andre Iguodala recalls how Stephen Curry surprised the entire team with his epic trash-talk
NBA veteran Andre Iguodala recalls and remembers a very savage Stephen Curry trash-talk moment on ‘The Old Man and the Three’ podcast
It is no secret that Andre Iguodala and Stephen Curry are really good buddies. The two played together for six seasons and developed a nice friendship. During those six years, they both have gone through their fair share of stuff together as teammates. Recently, during his time on ‘The Old Man and the Three’ podcast, Iguodala shared that he felt that Steph deserved the 2015 Finals MVP.
Stephen Curry is one of the nicest superstars in the NBA. He does not usually engage in any form of on-court adversary and lets his game speak for itself. However, Steph’s game is loud enough to silence every hater/naysayer out there. On the podcast, Iguodala reveals one such incident that shook him, as well as the entire team.
Andre Iguodala shares an epic Stephen Curry trash-talk moment
In the year 2021, we all are very used to Stephen Curry and his no-look turn-around 3 pointers. However, the case was not the same during the 2013-14 season. It was the first season of Andre Iguodala playing with the Warriors, and Stephen Curry had not revealed his entire bag of tricks just yet.
During round 1 of the 2014 Playoffs, the Warriors were facing Iguodala’s former team, the Denver Nuggets. It was Game 4 at the ‘Roaracle’ and the entire Nuggets bench was constantly yelling and shouting at Steph. Andre recalls the one thing Steph did that silenced them instantly. On the podcast, Igoudala said,
Iguodala on playing against Steph in Denver; Steph shoots 3 in front of Nuggets bench as team screams at him:
“He lets the ball go and turns around and tells em to shut up, balls in mid-air, not even close to the rim. The whole team was like yo i’ve never seen that before.”

This was probably one of the first times Steph pulled out his no-look turn-around 3 pointer. In case you need a refresher on the incident, here is the clip of the same.
