“There is absolutely zero place for racism”– Daniel Ricciardo breaks silence after racist attacks on Lewis Hamilton
“There is absolutely zero place for racism”– Daniel Ricciardo comes in support for Lewis Hamilton after racist attacks by fans online.
Criticism to Lewis Hamilton for the collision against Max Verstappen went overboard as a section of social media allegedly racially abused him.
This violation prompted F1, FIA and Mercedes to release a statement condemning the racist attack, and soon various teams followed suit. Even Daniel Ricciardo chose to end his silence and came to call out the racial comments.
The Australian wrote on his Instagram story: “I’ve seen some of the remarks at Lewis [Hamilton] after yesterday. No matter what happens on the track there is absolutely zero place for racism and hate. Please we have to be better than this.”

Ricciardo has been a staunch supporter of Hamilton’s cause and has also taken a knee along with him last year when the Briton spearheaded the anti-racism campaign in F1.
On the other hand, Ricciardo also showed concerns for his former Red Bull teammate Verstappen, as he apparently stopped his interview midway only to know his health update.

Daniel Ricciardo getting the grip.
On Sunday, Ricciardo had his best result for McLaren so far, as he finished, it is his first top5 finish for the Woking-based team. The 32-year-old race driver looked absolutely lethal during the race.
That’s the chequered flag at the #BritishGP! 🇬🇧🏁
Lando brings it home in P4 with Daniel just behind in P5.
Some more great points on the board, team. 👏
