Bucks’ Head Coach Mike Budenholzer talks with the media before Game 6, shares how he deals with jitters during the playoffs
The NBA Playoffs are when the true mettle of a team/individual is put through the test. The playoffs are not meant for everyone. They can make the best of the best feel the pressure that comes with the stage. However, the pressure is not limited just to the players.
Everyone who is related to the team, be it the coaches, the front office, or the fans, all feel the pressure. No matter what is the final seeding, no matter how big an advantage you have, the pressure is always there. Prior to Game 6, Bucks’ Head Coach Mike Budenholzer was asked about the same.
Mike Budenholzer talks about having butterflies prior to Game 6
If anyone has been following the Milwaukee Bucks for the last few years, they know the Bucks haven’t had the best playoff history. Despite being a top team every regular season, the Bucks hadn’t been able to make it out of the East till this year.
With the NBA Championship just a win away, coach Mike Budenholzer was asked if he was feeling any butterflies. He replied and said, “I have the coaching butterflies for Game 1 of the regular season. I have the coaching butterflies for training camp. That’s what makes coaching great.”
The coach carried on and talked about how he de-stresses.
Coach Bud has said during the NBA Finals he goes on long walks while listening to music to clear his head. @mcten just asked if he’d reveal what music he listens to, “No,” he said. “I don’t want people to realize how boring I am.”
