“Taking this energy into the weekend”– Lewis Hamilton shares his first win in Hungary photos on social media; a warning to his rivals?
Lewis Hamilton has his joint-best record at Hungaroring and Silverstone eight wins each, and luckily for him, the next race will be in Hungary.
That’s why Mercedes needs to worry about their marginal lead against Red Bull, and maybe Hamilton is sending them a warning ahead of the race this weekend.
The seven-time world champion recently shared his first win photos with Mercedes in the Hungaroring back in 2013 and captioned it with “taking this energy into the weekend.”

Hamilton performs exceptionally well when he is in Hungary, in the turbo-hybrid era; he has won it five teams and was only defeated by Sebastian Vettel twice and once by Daniel Ricciardo.
The other three wins at Hungaroring he achieved back when he was with McLaren. This only indicates that Verstappen needs to be at his toes all the time to prevent two consecutive defeats from Mercedes.
Max Verstappen has his eyes on the championship.
The records show a good probability of the weekend, but if Red Bull genuinely has a better car, they can eye for a win to regain their comprehensive lead in the championship.
After the last weekend’s crash, Verstappen is fit and has only a few bruises, which means he can appear for Red Bull this weekend. He complained about being a bit uncomfortable while working on the simulator; otherwise, he has stated that he’s doing fine.
It only remains to be seen what happens this weekend in Hungary and could overturn the season, which Red Bull has dominated until now.
