Just a few hours after getting acquired by the Lakers, Russell Westbrook was spotted partying with American comedian Kevin Hart in Los Angeles.

The Los Angeles Lakers had an unexpected and disappointing 2020-2021 season to say the least. The 2020 NBA champs went from being strong title contenders, to barely making the playoffs. And finally, ended their campaign after getting knocked out of the first round of the postseason by the Phoenix Suns.

Definitely, the Lakers front office needed to make some huge changes to fix things for LeBron James and co. In a huge trade deal, considered to be the first in a series of moves, LAL ended up acquiring superstar Russell Westbrook along with two second-round picks while sending away Kyle Kuzma, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, Montrezl Harrell and the 22nd pick in the 2021 Draft.

The Lakers, especially King James couldn’t have been more excited to welcome his new teammate. LBJ even posted a photo of the trio of him, Anthony Davis and Russell Westbrook, revealing the true eagerness to win a championship alongside his fellow All-Stars.

NBA Twitter reacts to Russell Westbrook partying with Kevin Hart right after being acquired by the Los Angeles Lakers

Of course, Russell Westbrook is a happy man. He isn’t getting any younger and this is a legit shot for him to win his first-ever and long-desired coveted NBA championship.

Just a few hours after the Lakers-Wizards trade was finalised sending the Brodie to join forces with Bron and AD, Westbrook was spotted celebrating with long-time friend Kevin Hart in LA.

NBA fans took notice of how cheerful the 2017 MVP looked and couldn’t help but be happy for the former UCLA Bruin.

Born and raised in Long Beach, played college ball at Los Angeles for the UCLA Bruins, the 9-time All-Star would surely be elated playing for the city he lived most of his life in.  Surely, it will be entertaining to see whether or not Russell Westbrook manages to win his first-ever chip. Even though it is way too early to make any predictions, the Lakers, after adding a third bonafide star, have already become a strong favourite to win the 2021-2022 NBA championship.
