‘Chris Paul spotted with Russell Westbrook in LA’: Free agent CP3 is in LeBron James’ city after declining $44.2 M player option with Suns
Veteran point guard Chris Paul rumored to leave the Suns and join the Lakers as he was spotted hanging with Russell Westbrook in LA
The NBA free agency is just around the corner. The free agency, more often than not, seals the fate of the upcoming season. There are quite some big names on the free agency market this summer. Kawhi Leonard recently declined his $36M player option with the Clippers and became an unrestricted free agent. There are also players like DeMar DeRozan, Kyle Lowry, and many more on the market this summer.
Chris Paul made a lot of waves last night when he decided to decline his $44.2M player option with the Suns.

This would have been Paul’s last year on the contract that the Rockets gave him, that was passed on to the Thunder, and now the Suns.
Chris Paul spotted chilling with Russell Westbrook after declining player option
Chris Paul declined his $44.2 million player option with the Suns earlier today. Not long after, he was spotted chilling with Russell Westbrook in LA. This sparked a lot of Chris Paul and Lakers rumors, which coincidentally had died down when the Lakers got Russ.

A lot of Lakers faithful are expecting this to be a sign of the ‘Point God’ joining LeBron James and the Lakers. However, all this could be nothing, and could just be two buddies hanging out. A widely speculated reason for Chris Paul declining his option is so that the Suns can offer him a more team-friendly deal.
All of these are just speculations at this point, which would get confirmed only when the free agency begins. Although, one would not have to wait long, considering free agency opens up today evening.
