“Let’s share some real estate!”: Philadelphia 76ers put out a hilarious tweet referencing beef between Joel Embiid and Andre Drummond while announcing new acquisition
The Philadelphia 76ers perfectly address past beef between Joel Embiid and recent acquisition Andre Drummond on Twitter
Joel Embiid is one of those players that would have fit right in during the ‘90s. Not only is his game tough enough to last in the era, but his mentality and trash talk are just off the charts.
Unlike most of this current generation, the 76ers star genuinely wants to go out there and humiliate his opponents. And, of course, as a result of that, the man has had beef with multiple different NBA players. And among the many athletes on the list, is Philadelphia’s most recent acquisition, Andre Drummond.
Usually, when you share a locker room with the player you have beef with, it can get a bit awkward. But, it seems that the 76ers’ media team has found the perfect way to hilariously quell the tension.

“Let’s share some real estate”: Philadelphia 76ers put out a tweet referencing the past beef between Joel Embiid and Andre Drummond
Usually, when franchises announce new signings or acquisitions, they prefer to stay away from the controversy. However, it seems the 76ers’ media team is just built different.
Adopting Joel Embiid’s approach to life, instead of staying away from the controversy, they leaned into it. And the result of it was utterly hilarious. Take a look at the tweet below.

Yep, they really did it.
The fact that the team not only was able to reference the beef but actually ease the tension quite a bit, is frankly admirable.
That aside though, Andre Drummond is now in Philly. How will he fit? Will he be a good acquisition? Has he just been brought in by Daryl Morey to be dealt somewhere else?
There sure are a ton of questions with this one, and honestly, we can’t wait to see them answered during the 2021-22 NBA season.
