“Andre Drummond saves his 2-year old son from drowning”: Former Lakers center shows great dad instincts to jump in a pool and rescue Deon Drummond
Andre Drummond posts a heart-thumping video of his toddler falling into the swimming pool, causing a state of panic.
Drummond was recently seen playing the perfect superhero dad saving his 2-year old son from drowning. The 28-year old’s surveillance camera had a petrifying incident captured, which fortunately didn’t get worse.
The video captioned, “A parent’s worst nightmare.” It shows a 2-year old Deon sitting at the edge of the pool, with adults around him. However, the toddler suddenly decides to step into the water and creates a state of panic.
In the next instance, Drummond is seen sprinting into the pool, and in no time, has his son out of the water. The 76ers star standing at 6-feet 10 inches, weighing 279 lb, exhibits superhero skills, causing a huge sigh of relief around his surroundings.
The traumatic experience could have had a lifelong impact on the toddler. However, the 2-year old is seen smiling as he comes out of the water.

“Not all heroes wear capes. A parent’s worst nightmare ….. Feat my son and I. No one was harmed in this video.” wrote the 2x All-Star.
The above incident could serve as a learning lesson to countless parents, as leaving a toddler unattended for even a second can lead to a fatal tragedy.
On the professional front, Drummond recently signed with the Philadelphia 76ers as a back-up to Joel Embiid. Though the Big Penguin’s stint with the Lakers didn’t go as planned, things seem positive with the 4x rebounding leader taking his talents to Philadelphia.
