“LeBron James has the worst f***ing diet ever”: When Tristan Thompson raved about the Lakers superstar for having desserts with every meal and still dunking on the world’s best players
NBA fans were entertained to a ton of ‘Built Different’ ads throughout the bubble last year. Nobody fits this description better than LeBron James.
LeBron seems to have had this world-beating physique for as long as he’s been in the public light. The 36-year-old was this big, strong, and fast even as a junior in high school.
James was bodying forwards left, right and center from his days as a teenage NBA player. But it’s clear that he consciously improved his physique and strength with targeted effort over the years.
The Lakers superstar famously spends over a million dollars every year to keep himself in his prime physical shape. Given all of this expense, one would imagine that James is on a pretty strict diet regime.
As things turned out, this hasn’t always been the case for James. While we’ve heard stories of him giving up on carbs completely for a period during his 2013-14 season, a latter teammate dispels any notion that James is on a strict diet regime.
“LeBron James has the worst f***ing diet ever”: Tristan Thompson
Tristan Thompson was LeBron’s teammate on the Cleveland Cavaliers for 4 years. The Canadian big man is roughly the same size as James, but Thompson says he could never sustain himself as a professional if he let himself go like LeBron did:
“He has the worst f***ing diet ever. Ask him what he eats for breakfast. He has like five french toast, drowns it in syrup with strawberries and bananas.”
“Then he has like a four-egg omelette and then he goes and just f***ing dunks on somebody. It doesn’t make sense. He eats desserts with every meal.”
“He’ll come with his one-week diet, vegan crap, but he literally eats like it doesn’t make sense. He’s really a specimen. He eats like s***. One year I tried to eat like he ate and it just didn’t work out.”
“I started gaining weight and said, ‘F*** this’. I mean it works for him. He loves sweets. He eats desserts and French toast. It’s crazy how his body just burns it.”
