MS Dhoni could break ABD’s record of most dismissals in T20I’s in the 1st T20 against Sri Lanka
MS Dhoni’s glove work is one of the most prolific in world cricket, something that players and critics all over the world would agree to. Dhoni is considered to have the fastest hands in the east, if not in the world.
A lot of it has to with Dhoni’s technique, especially while keeping wickets to spinners, where in he doesn’t necessarily take his hands back after having collected the ball(in order to account for the momentum). Instead he keeps them stationary, and then rips off the bails with lightning speed.
This unorthodox but mighty effective technique has paid rich dividends to Dhoni and to India.
MS Dhoni is now all set to break ABD’s record of most dismissals in T20 internationals, if he is able to inflict 3 dismissals tomorrow, which could very well be a possibility tomorrow with the way Yuzi Chahal and Kuldeep Yadav were operating in the 3rd ODI.
Dhoni has 70 dismissals in T20 internationals and ABD currently sits top of the tree with 72 dismissals.
Dhoni is the leader of pack with respect to stumpings in ODI cricket, having inflicted 105 dismissals.
India take on Sri Lanka tomorrow in the first match of the three match T20 series in Cuttack. India would be hoping that they can start the series on a high.
India would be unleashing a new three man pace attack in the form of Siraj, Unadkat and Thampi tomorrow, and would hope that these new crop of pacers can form a good bench for India in the coming few months.
