India set to play two T20s against Ireland in June
After playing three test matches and six ODIs against South Africa, team India will travel to England in June to participate in one of the most eagerly anticipated match ups this calendar year.
Virat Kohli has successfully managed to mold this team in his image, as India plays a fearless brand of cricket that is unlike any previous Indian team.
After an unprecedented year of success at home, India will travel to South Africa, England and Australia this year, as Kohli and his men will try to create history in 2018.
While India lost the first test match to South Africa, they will look to bounce back and level the series up in Centurion.
After their African adventure, the Indian team will head back home for the eleventh edition of the IPL, before leaving for England.
Now we learn that India will also play two T20s in Ireland, as the BCCI has decided to return to the beautiful country after a break of eleven year.
India last played in Ireland in 2007, when he took part in a tri-nation series along with South Africa. This time around, India will take part in two T20s on June 27th and June 29th respectively.
This tour will be a good test for the Indian side, as they will get the chance to acclimatize themselves in those bowler friendly conditions.
India will then face England in three T20s, three ODIs and five test matches, as India will try to repeat their victorious campaign from 2007.
On a personal level, Kohli had a horrendous time in England last time around in 2014, as he managed a paltry 134 runs in ten innings.
This is what Kohli had to say about his nightmarish tour in 2014,
“I can put it very simply as that was a phase I didn’t perform very well and it happened to be England.”
“I just take it as a setback in my career and not motivate myself in a way that I have to prove people wrong or have to do something special against a particular opposition. For me, I’m playing a cricket ball, be it any game, any opposition, anywhere in the world. Those things do not change for me so I don’t put those things in my head.”
