WATCH: Anthony Martial blasts the ball into the goal to give Manchester United a 2-0 lead

Anthony Martial has often been subject to a lot of criticism because of his languid nature on the football pitch, so much so that he almost seems disinterested at times with his mannerism on field.

While you can sometimes question his ‘intent’ on the football field, you cannot for once call him out on his ability.

And his ability was on display tonight, when he smashed in from a Paul Pogba assist to give Manchester United a comfortable lead against Stoke City.

Stoke last the ball in midfield with, Valencia winning it and passing it onto Lukaku who found Pogba. Pogba then came up with an inch perfect pass for Martial, essentially laying it onto a plate for him, inviting him to drive at the ball and deposit it into the top corner.

And Martial obliged.

Martial slotted the ball into the top corner with an exquisite finish after Pogba had weighed his pass to perfection.

Manchester United go into the second half with a comfortable 2 goal advantage and would be hoping for their front line to get amongst the goals in the second half.
