WATCH : Mo Salah gives Liverpool the lead against City!
Ever since the draw was first announced, football fans all over the world were eagerly waiting to see Liverpool take on Manchester City in the Champions League.
Neutrals were excited to see two of the most entertaining sides in Europe battle it out against each other, with goals expected to flow over both legs of the tie.
Liverpool are the only team to beat Manchester City in the league this year, as they beat the soon to be champions at Anfield late last year.
We did not have to wait long for the first goal of the tie, as it was the sensational Mo Salah who gave Liverpool the lift off they needed. Anfield erupted, as their latest superstar got the goal that they so badly wanted.
A mistake from the City defenders gave Firmino a chance to shoot at goal, which was parried away by Ederson. Firminio was then quick to bounce on the rebound, as he poked the ball towards Salah.
The Egyptian then scored one of his easier goals this season, as Salah put the ball into the empty net in front of the Kop.
The match is now wonderfully set up, as City will need to score to obtain a crucial away goal to head into the second leg!
