Kylian Mbappe to Real Madrid

Kylian Mbappe has denied to rule out a potential move to the Spanish giants.

Kylian Mbappe and Paris Saint-Germain were on song when they humiliated Guingamp 9-0 in the Ligue 1 at Parc Des Princes on Saturday. The French International and Edinson Cavani scored hat-tricks, whilst a brace came from Neymar and right-back Thomas Meunier added a goal at the end to complete a resounding scoreline.

The 20-year-old has been in scintillating form, scoring 21 goals from just 23 games this season. His link-up play with Neymar and Edinson Cavani has been a treat to watch over the last two seasons.

The former Monaco forward made sound when he was part of the youth setup, attracting interest from a host of clubs including Real Madrid, Liverpool, and Manchester City. But, the French outfit denied to sell him for any price.

However, during the summer of 2017, he was tempted by the prospect of playing alongside some of the best players and made a move to Paris Saint-Germain. The French International has been thriving under the management of Thomas Tuchel who likes to play attacking football.

There were several reports going on that Real Madrid president Florentino Perez thought that they landed Kylian Mbappe from Monaco last summer, but he rejected the reigning European Champions in the favour of moving to the French heavyweights. Plans would have been different had the Los Blancos wrapped up the deal for Mbappe.

His transfer fee is believed to be 180 million euros, but keeping his age in the mind, the French outfit have made a long-term move by splashing an enormous sum on him. His price would have rocketed had PSG failed to strike loan with an option to buy deal with Monaco during the summer of 2017.

Following the goal-fest at Parc des Princes, Mbappe was asked if he would move to Real Madrid in the upcoming years. He responded by saying that he is happy at Paris, but he wouldn’t rule any opportunity out.

“I’m fine here, but in football and the future you never know,” Mbappe said AS.

The youngster had a deal with Paris up to 2022 at Paris. If Real Madrid are going to approach Mbappe again, there is no doubt that they would demand a world record fee for the World Cup winner.

The Los Blancos have been linked with Mauro Icardi, Christian Eriksen, and Eder Miliatao for a potential move in the summer transfer window. But, it would require enormous sum to land even one of them with Luka Modric potentially staying put at Santiago Bernabeu.
