Virat Kohli’s inspirational message for RCB fans after KXIP win
RCB fans finally would be sleep easy, as their franchise romped to a historic 10 wicket win against KXIP in a must-win encounter.
Everything went right for Virat Kohli and co. today, right from the toss till the last ball of the 2nd innings.
Umesh Yadav dished out a sumptuous bowling performance in the first innings, troubling the KXIP batsmen with pace and bounce, something that wasn’t expected on this flat Indore deck.
With Rahul and Gayle back in the hut, it seemed like the RCB middle order had absolutely no idea as to how to go about building an innings.
The middle order crumbled big time and the RCB bowlers wrapped up the innings for a meagre 88 runs.
It was the perfect opportunity for Kohli and RCB to provide some impetus to their run-rate, and that is exactly what Kohli did.
He promoted himself to the top of the order and took the attack to the KXIP bowlers right from the word go.
In the end, Kohli and Parthiv were able to chase down the KXIP total in just 8.1 overs.
Kohli came up with an inspirational tweet for his franchise post the win.
“Onwards and Upwards from here. Proud of the way our Bowlers performed. Now back home for the next game!” Kohli posted on Instagram.
RCB next take on SRH at home in another must win encounter. A win for RCB would essentially make their last game against RR a must-win encounter.
