Virat Kohli's astonishing reaction on Rohit Sharma's flick

Virat Kohli’s astonishing reaction on Rohit Sharma’s flick: The Indian captain was flabbergasted after watching a ‘Sharma special’.

During the first ODI of the ongoing Windies’ tour of India at Guwahati, Indian captain Virat Kohli was left flabbergasted at the non-striker’s end after watching one of Rohit Sharma’s fours over the leg-side.

It happened on the penultimate delivery of the ninth over when Sharma flicked a Kemar Roach delivery over the leg side for a boundary. Off to comparatively slow start, it was only Sharma’s second over of the match.

In which was a full and straight delivery, Sharma used his wrists to full effect as the ball sailed over the square leg fence for a four.

Watching from the non-striker’s end, Kohli’s expression spoke highly about what he felt for the thing of beauty from Sharma.

India, chiefly Sharma and Kohli, eventually made a mockery of a 323-run chase as the team achieved it in the 43rd over. Among the other feats, the duo became the first ODI pair of register five 200+ partnerships. Their 246-run partnership had brightened India’s prospects for the chase.

Speaking during the post-match presentation with Sanjay Manjrekar, Kohli was wax lyrical about Sharma, saying that life isn’t difficult when Rohit is at the other end.

Earlier, India had restricted Windies to 322-8 in 50 overs after Shimron Hetmyer scored his third ODI century, 106 (78), with the help of six fours and six sixes. With bowling figures of 10-0-41-3, Yuzvendra Chahal was the pick of the Indian bowlers.
