Suresh Raina extends warm wishes on Rahane’s birthday
Indian Test vice captain Ajinkya Rahane has turned 30 today and Suresh Raina wished him on Twitter among other Indian cricketers.Indian Test vice captain Ajinkya Rahane has entered the thirties as the Mumbaikar celebrates his 30th birthday today.
Twitter was abuzz with fans and cricketers wishing Rahane.
Mumbai batsman Ajinkya Rahane has had a truly tumultous career. He has seen the highs when he was at his peak in Test cricket and had become the mainstay of the Indian middle order. However, things are not going very well for him currently. He has been dropped from the Indian limited overs side.
Rahane was slotted at number four in the ODI series against South Africa. Many felt that India has got its permanent number 4 when Rahane scored a half century in the first ODI. However, things started going down south from there and he was not able to repeat his brilliance.
In the Test format as well after going through a purple patch Rahane has not been at his best and was dropped from the test team recently. Rohit Sharma was preferred in the 1st Test between India and South Africa. It was only in the 3rd Test that Rohit gave way to Rahane.
A true gentleman and a fabulous teammate. Wishing @ajinkyarahane88 a very happy birthday. May you achieve all that you desire. Best wishes for the upcoming match against @ACBofficials and the UK tour. pic.twitter.com/qUWt12975b

In the recently concluded IPL, Rahane started well after taking the captaincy in the absence of Steve Smith. However, again he lost his way and had a string of low scores. Although he did not have a very good IPL, he was successful in taking his team through to the playoffs.
The cricketing fraternity hailed Rahane as one of the nicest guys around in world cricket as they wished the Mumbaikar a very happy birthday.
Suresh Raina, Sachin Tendulkar and Rohit Sharma where among the prominent names who wished him.
