Shere Bangla National Stadium ODI records: Dhaka Stadium ODI records and highest innings totals

ODI cricket is all in readiness of returning to the Shere Bangla National Stadium after more than 18 months. Having already hosted other formats at the highest level this year, the forthcoming first Bangladesh-India ODI will be the first one to be played at this venue in 2022.

Hosts Bangladesh, who have played as many as 96 ODIs here, have won 48 and lost 47 matches over the years. Set to participate in a Mirpur ODI after seven and a half years, India have won 14 and lost seven out of their 22 ODIs at this stadium in the past.

With two of three Bangladesh-India ODIs to be played here, the home team would have eyes on replicating their performance from 2015 to register their second ODI series victory against India.

Shere Bangla National Stadium ODI records

Highest run-scorers in Mirpur ODIs are Tamim Iqbal (2,795), Mushfiqur Rahim (2,616), Shakib Al Hasan (2,553), Mahmudullah (1,773) and Imrul Kayes (1,169).

As far as the best Indian batters at this stadium among active cricketers are concerned, Virat Kohli (786), Rohit Sharma (297) and Shikhar Dhawan (228) have done well at this venue.

Highest ODI wicket-takers at the Shere Bangla National Stadium are Shakib (122), Mashrafe Mortaza (94), Abdur Razzak (75), Rubel Hossain (65) and Mustafizur Rahman (47). A list of best ODI bowlers here among active cricketers is provided below:

Indian bowlers, who are part of the current ODI squad, hardly have any experience of bowling at this venue. Barring all-rounder Axar Patel (3), neither of them has picked an ODI wicket here.

Highest innings totals in Mirpur ODIs

300-run mark in ODI innings at the Shere Bangla National Stadium has been surpassed in only 14 out of 226 innings. The above mentioned third-highest innings total is also the highest successful ODI run-chase at this stadium. The match is fondly remembered for former India captain Kohli scoring a career-best 183 (148) with the help of 22 fours and a six to play a key role in sealing a 330-run chase.

Out of the 112 Mirpur ODIs which have produced a result, 53 have been won by teams batting first as compared to 59 by chasing teams.
