“What a Match”: Jimmy Neesham thrilled over England’s amazing last day win vs Pakistan in Rawalpindi test

England again proved their masterclass in the test format of the game by beating Pakistan by 74 runs on a dreadful Rawalpindi wicket. This was England’s first test in Pakistan after 17 years, and they have proved their coach Brendon McCullum right, who said that the team will aim to win test matches.

England scored 657 runs in the 1st innings, and Pakistan scored 579 runs in reply. It was looking like a certain draw, but the English team surprised everyone by declaring their 2nd innings for 264-7 in 35.5 overs giving the target of 343 runs to the Pakistani side. On a batting wicket, this was not a huge task.

However, the English bowlers were on fire on the last day of the match, and they bowled out Pakistan for just 268 runs to register a brilliant win in the test match. The pace duo of James Anderson and Ollie Robinson took 4 wickets each and proved their class on a flat Rawalpindi wicket.

New Zealand’s all-rounder Jimmy Neesham was all excited about England’s win over Pakistan in the 1st test match. However, he later trolled Rawalpindi’s pitch by saying that he did not watch a single ball of the match before the last day as it was a boring contest overall.

The match was going down fire as the English team was facing a battle against time as the bad light scare was certainly a scare. However, Jack Leach managed to get the wicket of Naseem Shah, in the end, to register a memorable win for the visitors in Rawalpindi.

Talking about Neesham, he will be playing in the upcoming Lanka Premier League. He recently declined new New Zealand’s central contract in order to fulfill his commitment towards the franchise teams he made. Neesham is still available to play for New Zealand.
