IND W vs AUS W Head to Head Record in T20Is: India Women vs Australia Women T20I Stats
Unlike the men’s side, the Indian women’s team have had a couple of decent results in the multi-nation tournaments of-late. While they won the silver medal in the first-ever Commonwealth Games in July-August, they backed it up with the Asia Cup 2022 title a couple of months later.
Having lost only seven out of twenty previous T20Is, team India will look to continue with their stellar run in the format against T20 champions Australia, as they are set to take them on in a five-match T20I series beginning tomorrow, at the Dr. DY Patil Sports Academy in Mumbai.
The Harmanpreet Kaur-led side will face the most challenging set of matches as they prepare for the T20 World Cup, scheduled to take place at South Africa in February next year.
The series will also present a tough challenge right away for the newly appointed batting coach Hrishikesh Kanitkar, who will be in charge of the team in the absence of Ramesh Powar, who has been surprisingly removed from the position of the team’s head coach.
As for Australia, they will be led by the experienced Alyssa Healy, with Meg Lanning having taken an indefinite break from the sport in August this year.
