DY Patil Stadium pitch report today: India W vs Australia W 1st T20I DY Patil Sports Academy pitch report

India Women will take on Australia Women in the 1st T20I of the 5-match T20I series at the DY Patil Stadium in Mumbai. With the T20 World Cup on the horizon, this is an important series for both sides. It has to be seen how the Australian team will play on Indian pitches.

Harmanpreet Kaur will be leading the side, and she has played some great cricket this year. Smriti Mandhana will again lead the batting of the side in this series. Deepti Sharma, Rajeshwari Gayakwad and Radha Yadav are the lead spinners, whereas Meghna Singh is the leading pacer.

Australia Women will be led by Alyssa Healy in this series, and they have some world-class players in their ranks. It will be interesting to see how the team can fare in spin-friendly conditions.

DY Patil Stadium pitch report today

DY Patil Stadium in Mumbai will be hosting the first three games of the series, and the track here is a balanced track where there is help for both batters and bowlers. A red soil track will be used on this track, and it has been seen that red soil has a good amount of bounce.

This track hosted a total of 20 IPL games this year, and the average 1st innings score was 170 runs. Out of 20 matches, 10 were won while chasing and the same number of matches were won by the defending teams. It was seen that the spinners were getting a lot of grip from the wicket.

Both teams can go spin-heavy in this match and both of them have some really good options as well. One side of the boundary is on the longer side, but the rest of the boundaries are not that large. With a fast outfield, the batters will get the reward for their shot playing. Keeping the dew in mind, bowling first will be the best option after winning the toss.
