New York Giants Players ‘Locked Down’ in a Mall Amidst Deadly Shooting, One Teenager Dead

The New York Giants have had a good season this time around. To boost their chances of making it big this season, they came in all guns blazing in last night’s encounter against the Minnesota Vikings.

As expected, it turned out to be an entertaining clash which had several twists and turns. However, in the end, the Vikings were able to emerge victoriously by just 3 points.

However, before the game had started, several New York Giants players were subjected to a terrifying encounter. A night before the game, a lot of Giants players were in Mall of America, Minneapolis when a deadly shooting incident unfolded.

Actually, the hotel in which the Giants players were staying was very close to mall which prompted them to a pay a visit to the place. However, it might have turned out to be a terrible decision for them.

Giants players were stuck in a mall on Friday when a shooting incident broke out

Thankfully, the situation was brought under control by the concerned authorities and all the players came out unharmed. However, they had to spend almost an hour in lockdown.

“Numerous Giants players spent roughly an hour last night on lockdown at the Mall of America, where a 19-year-old man was shot dead. A scary situation, as they now try to refocus and face the Vikings,” NFL Insider Tom Pelissero had reported.

As per Bloomington Police, two groups got into a fight in the mall which eventually ended with a 19-year-old’s death. A bystander also avoided getting shot by just a whisker.

It goes without saying that it would have been super tough for the players to focus back on the game after the incident but they were able to still put up a good show.

Vikings’ Kirk Cousins absolutely annihilated the Giants’ defense. He had 3 TDs to his name with zero interceptions for 299 yards. On the other hand, Cousins’ counterpart Daniel Jones could manage just the one TD for 334 yards and also threw an interception.

It will be interesting to see how the Giants perform from here on as they still have a few really important clashes left.
