“Luka Doncic Has Negro Tendencies”: Grant Williams and NBA Podcast Host Make A Wild Statement About Mavericks Superstar
Luka Doncic has been playing the best basketball of his entire career this past December. He was 2nd in the league in scoring average for this past month with over 35 points per game. A lot of that has to do with the fact that he’s scored 50+ points in 3 games over an 8 game span, including a 60-point explosion as well.
It hasn’t just been him scoring the ball however. He averaged 9.3 assists and 8.5 rebounds in 13 games in December all while shooting 51.9% from the field. Though the Dallas Mavericks have been middling for the season with a record of 21-16, Doncic singlehandedly carried them to a 11-4 record for the last month.
The way Luka has been playing has the entirety of the league in a chokehold. The only thing holding him back from being placed firmly in MVP conversations is the team’s record.

Grant Williams agrees with podcast host about Luka Doncic and his ‘negro tendencies’
There haven’t been all too many players who have succeeded in guarding Luka Doncic this year and Grant Williams of the Boston Celtics certainly is one of them. Williams recently went on a podcast where one of the hosts, after praising Doncic, claimed the Slovenian superstar had ‘negro tendencies’.
Grant doesn’t correct him on this and actually seems to agree in the background. It’s unclear what exactly was meant by this statement. They would however, immediately delve into talking about how Doncic’s trash talk has improved significantly after close to half a decade in the league.

This is reminiscent of the time Jimmy Butler told Tyler Herro he had ‘hood tendencies’ after finding out Herro didn’t know how to swim. Doncic has not acknowledged or responded to this quote as of yet.
Luka Doncic continues to build chemistry with Christian Wood
The Dallas Mavericks tried the Kristaps-Luka pairing for two years but it didn’t work all too well. Christian Wood on the other hand has been someone who Doncic has been able to play off of in the post and off the pick.
The two seem to have gotten quite close as well, with Wood admitting this past week that they are pretty close. Luka even praised the big-man for being someone who can take his harsh criticisms in stride, unlike a lot of other people.
Luka Doncic on Christian Wood’s sense of humor: “He has no sense of humor. I have way more. I tell him my jokes. My jokes are great, so he’s learning from me. You should ask him.”
Doncic: “It’s more dad jokes. It’s okay. They’re great jokes.”
Wood: “Yeah, we’re pretty close.” pic.twitter.com/SLrs5kaM9Q
