Is Donovan Mitchell Playing Tonight vs Nuggets? Cavaliers Star’s Availability Report Proves Quite Disappointing
Donovan Mitchell is starting to ascend to new heights when it comes to the sport of basketball. And quite frankly, it is coming during a time when most people weren’t expecting him to improve much at all.
This season the man is averaging a stellar 29 points, 4 rebounds, and 5 assists per contest while shooting 48.7% from the field, and 40% from beyond the arc.
Better yet, in a season in which the Cavaliers have missed their starting point guard Darius Garland, Mitchell has been the driving force behind the franchise being the 4th seed in a spirited Eastern Conference.
But of course, given the firepower of the East, it’s going to be tough to keep their grasp on such a high side. And so, it is of tantamount importance that the former Jazz star plays every game possible.
So, will Donovan Mitchell take the floor in the big game against Nikola Jokic and the Denver Nuggets?
What is Donovan Mitchell’s status for tonight’s game against the Nuggets?
Many would consider this game against the Nuggets to light a fire in Donovan Mitchell. After all, it was almost exactly the same Nuggets team that knocked his Jazz out of the 2020 NBA playoffs.
And it all happened despite the star man himself going toe-to-toe with Jamal Murray every single game to create arguably the greatest individual head-to-heads of all time.
However, if there was motivation to play in this game from Mitchell’s side, the Cavaliers are choosing to disregard it completely.

As ESPN reports, the Cavaliers will rest Donovan Mitchell despite what could have been a very entertaining reunion with Jamal Murray and co.
Of course, there will be countless Cavaliers fans that will groan at the news. But, given what this match-up can be, we doubt there are many neutral fans who are very thrilled about this either.
