Michael Jordan’s Daughter, Jasmine Jordan Once Revealed She Dated a Woman’s Basketball Player in College  

Jasmine Jordan, the herald for the Air Jordan sneaker brand of Nike, who is also Michael Jordan’s daughter is leading a revolution. She recently signed WNBA players and is ushering in an era where players from women’s sports can also be associated with the brand.

It is nothing new that a member of the Jordan family is making big moves. Following in the footsteps of her father, Jasmine aims to lead the brand in a completely new direction, while preserving its ethos.

But this direction might have familiar roots, one that may have its origins from her college days. A nod toward women can only come from a woman who is at the top of her game.

Jasmine Jordan learned a lot from her dating history in Syracuse and why she champions women

So, in an interview with Office Magazine she revealed that she once dated a women’s basketball player. And now we know Michael Jordan’s daughter swings both ways. But more important than that she found out about the lack of representation.

Jasmine said, “It wasn’t praised like it is now. At Syracuse, I dated a women’s basketball player, and even then, she was saying, “We don’t get enough support.” I ended up marrying my husband, who played for the NBA, and I’ve worked for the Charlotte Hornets, so I’ve seen both sides of the sport. People would ask, “Why do you want to work for the W?” I’m like, “Why wouldn’t you?” I want to be around basketball as much as possible. Now, the WNBA is a hot topic. We’re talking about viewership, support, and equality, and how we can be the bridge between sport and culture. It’s an exciting opportunity, but I also want to ensure that when the conversations fade, the actions are still there.”

Her experience on both sides of the sport, both as someone close to an athlete and as a rep for an NBA team helped her forge her path.
