Indian cricket team practices ahead of the 1st T20 against Ireland
The wait is over as the Indian superstars are set to don the blue jersey after three months of rest and IPL.
Virat Kohli and co. are in England and are gearing up for a long UK summer, one that begins in Ireland with a T20 series.
The tour this time has been flipped on its head and is being initiated by the limited overs format instead of the Test series so as to help acclimatise the touring team before the Test series begins.
And India need a little acclimatisation before the England limited overs series as well and hence the Ireland T20s have been drafted in, providing India with some much needed match practice and Ireland with a chance to play against some of the best in the world.
With match day looming large, the Indian contingent have been training and practicing hard so as to get themselves ready for the all important 1st T20.
BCCI recently released a video of the batsman hitting in the nets. Dhoni, Raina, Kohli and Rahul could be seen milking the ball, getting themselves in line for the long, arduous tour.

India will be hoping to start the tour off on a positive note so as to keep the spirits high in the camp.
Also, keeping in mind that the 2019 World Cup will be taking place in England at around the same time, the Indian team would want to get some much needed ‘English experience’ under their belt.
