WATCH: Fans Go Crazy as Nikola Jokic Breaks Incredible Nuggets Record With 3686 Assists en-route to Entertaining Win Over Wolves
When the Denver Nuggets drafted Nikola Jokic at 41st overall in the 2014 NBA draft, they were likely hoping he can become a serviceable role player in their rotation. We’d say the expectations got a lot higher in a hurry.
A 2-time MVP, 4-time All-NBA selection, and a 4-time All-Star, the Joker is now the best player on a Nuggets team looking to win an NBA championship. It’s funny how quickly things can change.
But, as if all that wasn’t enough, Jokic recently pulled off yet another incredible feat for the Mile-High City. And it is one that really puts into perspective how consistently brilliant the man has been throughout his NBA career.
Nikola Jokic becomes the Denver Nuggets’ all-time assists leader
Nikola Jokic is 27 years old right now.
Generally, this is when a player only starts to do all the incredible things scouts were hoping out of him. However, just as his prime has begun Nikola Jokic, has achieved 2 MVPs already. And now, of course, there is this as well.

3,686 assists.
The Joker has been a very good NBA player for some time now. However, in these last couple of years, the man has ascended to one of the top-5 players in the NBA.
Given that he is here already, it’s scary to think about what he will be able to do during the rest of his years in the NBA.
Nuggets fans are in for a treat.
Where does Nikola Jokic rank all-time on the NBA assists list?
As per NBA.com, Nikola Jokic still ranks just 150th on the All-time assists’ leader board. So, there is still a long way to go before he can crack the top 10 in the category.
I knew that eventually my all time assist record would be broken.
I’m honored to see that it’s 2 time, I mean 3 time MVP of the NBA do it. Congrats big fella. #Joker #NikolaJokic— Alex English (@AlexEnglish_2) January 19, 2023
However, this is a 2-time MVP we’re talking about. And given that this is his main forte in the NBA, there is no doubt his ranking is going to be getting far better soon enough.
