Why is Stephen Curry Not Playing Tonight vs Cavaliers?
On December 14th, Stephen Curry suffered a concerning shoulder injury. It was later diagnosed as partial dislocation in his left shoulder. Curry eventually ended up missing 11 consecutive games in December and January. He finally returned to action on January 10th against the Phoenix Suns.
Since then, Stephen Curry has played 5 games and is averaging 25.8 points while landing 4.4 3-pointers per game. But it seems Steph is all set to miss another game due to tightness in his left hip. The warriors’ injury report has officially listed him as out.
The Warriors, who are on a 5-game road trip, will meet the 5th seed in the Western Conference. They lost two of the last four games and will head to Friday with key players missing.
Stephen Curry is among 8 other Warriors players on the injury list
The Warriors will unfortunately face Cleveland without at least 6 of their key players. Apart from Curry, Draymond Green, Andrew Wiggins, Klay Thompson, Andre Iguodala, and James Wiseman will not suit up tonight. Moreover, Jonathan Kuminga and JaMychal Green are listed as probable.
The Warriors are sitting Steph Curry, Draymond Green, Andrew Wiggins and Klay Thompson in Cleveland tonight. Last game of a five-game road trip. Went into OT in Boston last night.

The Cavaliers will not be an easy team to beat for the Warriors. They are defensively ranked second in the league and have already beaten some of the top teams in the East including the Bucks, Celtics, and 76ers. The limited Golden State squad will need a miracle to win even with Donovan Mitchell questionable.
The Warriors currently stand 9th in the Western Conference. The absence of Stephen Curry combined with their terrible record on the road has added up. Right now, they need a streak of wins to get back their juju.
A healthy trio of Curry, Draymond Green, and Klay Thompson may be the push they need. That being said, Steve Kerr needs to add depth to his roster. Hopefully, he will push for much-needed trades in the off-season.
