“I Was Just Touching Him Up!”: How Shaquille O’Neal Almost Shortened a Bulls’ Star’s 14-Year NBA Career
Shaquille O’Neal is considered to be one of the all-time great players for a reason. During his prime, if anyone was able to defend the big man, it was likely the gods themselves. And we’d say, even they’d have a pretty hard time locking him up.
Coming back to the plains of reality though, it always proved far too difficult for mere mortals to stay with him. So as you’d expect, there was quite a bit of illegal touching up of the Big Diesel in the paint. And on one such occasion, the man had finally had enough.
And somehow, it resulted in one of the most hilarious Shaqtin’ A Fool moments of all time.
Shaquille O’Neal once tried to smack the back of a Bulls player’s head with all his might… and missed the mark completely
Shaquille O’Neal has always been a funny guy. However, during his younger days, the man had a bit of a short temper too.
The result? If you talk smack to him, there was likely to be a reaction. And if you hit him, well, you could expect him to return the favor with dividends.
But apparently, on certain occasions, this applied even if you didn’t do anything to the man.
Watch the short YouTube clip below to see what we mean.
Perhaps it is because the universe knew that Brad Miller didn’t hit Shaquille O’Neal, that the Diesel actually missed.
However, jokes aside, this could have turned out to be far worse than anybody could even imagine. And frankly, we couldn’t be more glad to see everyone came away from the incident unharmed, and Miller was able to complete his 14 years in the NBA.
Shaquille O’Neal still gets touched up to this day
Just because Shaquille O’Neal’s career is done, doesn’t mean that the man is no longer in physical danger,
In fact, as Kenny Smith proved on the set of Inside the NBA, the man is still prone to get touched up on a regular basis.
All the best, Shaquille O’Neal. We hope you can continue to make it out of filming sessions without any broken bones in your body.
