After 12 consecutive matches hosted by the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram, the action for the next four matches of the ongoing Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) 2023, will return back to the Shere Bangla National Stadium in Dhaka.

Monday’s double header will witness the Chattogram Challengers take on Rangpur Riders in the 21st match of the ongoing season earlier in the day. This fixture will be followed by one taking place between the Comilla Victorians and Dhaka Dominators later in the evening.

Both Chattogram and Rangpur lost their previous respective matches, with the latter’s bowling line-up conceding the second-highest total in BPL history – 238/4, with the Fortune Barishal duo of Ifthikar Ahmed (100* of 45) and Shakib Al Hasan (89* off 43) smashing them a collective of 15 Fours and as many Sixes after batting first.

As for the second match, the Dhaka Dominators will have to turn up big time, as they currently find themselves at the bottom of the points table with a solitary victory after playing six matches.

Across these matches, the average score posted by the teams stands at 159 runs, with the chasing teams having won six out of these eight matches this year.

The pitches have overall been batting friendly, with the batters being able to play through the line even during the latter half of their innings, especially during the evening games under lights.

The fast bowlers are likely to get assistance off the pitch early on in the innings with the new ball yet again.
