$540 Million Toto Wolff Was Once Dismissed From School For Having No Money

Mercedes team boss Toto Wolff now owns a 33% stake in the Mercedes F1 team and has an estimated net worth of $540 Million.

But he did not enjoy the same financial privileges growing up. Wolff had a tough childhood with one of the key moments being the loss of his father when he was merely 15 years old.

There were a lot of financial hardships related to this and while his mother was a doctor and tried a lot to improve their living conditions, it was not enough.

Although, despite the financial problems his parents with the help of his grandfather placed him in a French private school in Vienna.

Wolff recalled a time when he and his sister were taken out of school because they hadn’t been able to pay the fees. He said, “How do you explain on the tram ride home why you had to leave after lunch?”

Toto Wolff moved to Monaco due to security reasons

Wolff has risen from his financial troubles and is now one of the most successful F1 bosses in the paddock.

But there are a few other things that Wolff has to worry about now. Recently, he revealed that he had moved to Monaco because they had security problems in the UK. The other reason was that they wanted to enroll their son in an international school.

He did not reveal what were the security reasons though.

Toto Wolff fires fresh criticism  at Michael Masi

In the 2021 season finale, Mercedes’ Lewis Hamilton lost the championship title in a controversial circumstance.

Race director Michael Masi hit the spotlight for massive criticism and was even removed from his position.

Mercedes boss Wolff has ever since been a harsh critic of the decisions that were made at the Abu Dhabi GP and has now fired a fresh criticism on the Australian.

He said that an individual had taken a decision that were not part of the rule book and “breached the principle of fairness.”
