The New York Knicks are in red-hot form. Having lost merely two games in February, Julius Randle and co. have climbed up a few positions on the Eastern Conference standings. However, the contest against the Miami Heat was the toughest they’ve faced in the past few weeks. Jimmy Butler and co. were almost on the verge of snapping the Knicks’ 7-game win streak.

But, the action-packed thriller saw seven lead changes and seven ties, finally ending with Tom Thibodeau’s boys clinching a 122-120 win thanks to Randle’s heroics. The forward had a stellar performance. Playing for merely 35:47 seconds, the former Kentucky Wildcat managed to drop 43 points & 9 rebounds and tied his career-high of 8 3-pointers.

Out of the eight shots that the 6-foot-8 star connected from beyond the arc was an off-balance shot that won the Knicks the game.

NBA Twitter reacts as Julius Randle knocks down crazy game-winner

With NYK trailing by 1 point, despite Jimmy Buckets’ great defense, the former Most Improved Player managed to launch a shot with less than 2.5 seconds remaining on the clock. Receiving the iconic “BANG-BANG” call from Mike Breen, the 28-year-old knocked down the off-balance game-winner.

As soon as the shot went in, the clip went viral on social media leaving NBA Twitter in a frenzy.

There were even many users that reacted to Mike Green’s famous call.

Randle is averaging 25.3 points, 10.4 rebounds, and 4.2 assists per game this season. However, his numbers are far better during the Knicks’ 8-game winning run – 29.3 points and 7.5 rebounds.

The NY-based franchise is now 5th in the East with a 38-27 record. Just a few more wins and Randle and co. can actually compete for the #3 spot.
