Murali Vijay and Dinesh Karthik involved in a funny exchange in the 1st England Test
In the 1st Test between India and England, Murali Vijay and Dinesh Karthik were involved in an interesting situation.
Murali Vijay has been stationed at short leg as Ashwin is churning out one over after another. England were cautious to begin with. Both Cook and Jennings took a defensive route and tried to see off the Indian new ball bowlers.
However, it was not for long that the vigil lasted. Quite early, Umesh Yadav was taken off the attack and Ravi Ashwin was brought in. Ashwin did not take long to make an impact.

On the second last ball of his second over, Ashwin pitched one on leg stumped which turned quite a lot to spin past his bat. Cook poked his bat to defend but all he could manage was to get comprehensively beaten.
Meanwhile, he got complete support from Dinesh Karthik from behind the wickets. Karthik kept chirping in a bid to pep up the spinner. He said something to him in Tamil the English translation of which was, “Well bowled mate, bowl the same line and length in the next deliveries and keep up the good work”.

The patchy past involving Dinesh Karthik, Murali Vijay and their marriage is an open secret. The two made it to a lot of headlines when the news broke that both of them would be playing in the same XI. However, the two seem to have left their past behind them and get on with it.
