Ravi Shastri caught napping on Day 1 against England
Indian Coach Ravi Shastri was caught napping on Day 1 between India and England.
As the match went through a dull phase, the TV cameras spotted Indian Coach Ravi Shastri napping. Ravi was sitting in the viewing area when the cameras suddenly panned towards him.
Harbhajan Singh was also part of the commentary panel. He cheekily urged Indian batting Coach Sanjay Bangar, who was sitting next to him, to wake Shastri up.
“Ravi Shastri having a nap there. Wake up, Ravi. Sanjay, can you convey my message to Ravi?” Bhajji quipped.

Earlier, England won the toss and decided to bat first on a dry pitch at Edgbaston. England were cautious to begin with. Both Cook and Jennings took a defensive route and tried to see off the Indian new ball bowlers.
However, it was not for long that the vigil lasted. Quite early, Umesh Yadav was taken off the attack and Ravi Ashwin was brought in. Ashwin did not take long to make an impact.

On the second last ball of his second over, Ashwin pitched one on leg stumped which turned quite a lot to spin past his bat. Cook poked his bat to defend but all he could manage was to get comprehensively beaten.
This has now resulted in Captain Joe Root coming out to bat. Root then joined opener Keaton Jennings at the crease. Following a flurry of some quick wickets, England are left reeling at 277 for 7 at the time of this news being written.
