$50 Million Man Patrick Mahomes Reminds Stephen Curry of Himself Due to ‘Risky’ Behavior in the NFL

Stephen Curry is one of the best to ever take the floor in the NBA. Yes, a massive part of that is his status as the greatest shooter to ever live. However, the man is so much more than that. Really, it is starting to become a bit of an insult to not consider him to be among the greatest scorers of all time.

With that in mind, it is rather difficult to think that anyone in the world plays in a similar way as him. And yet, if you were to ask the man himself that, he’d say that not only is there someone like that, but he doesn’t even play the same sport as him. In fact, as we will go on to show you in this piece, he very much, very willingly said it just a few short months ago.

 

Stephen Curry loves Patrick Mahomes’s style of play because it reminds him of his own

Patrick Mahomes is obviously no slouch. The man is one of the best at his position in the NFL, if not the best in the league at the moment. And so, it makes sense that even the biggest stars from others sports would be massive fans of the $50 million worth man’s game, something that evidently applies to Stephen Curry as well.

During an interview, the Warriors superstar was asked to reveal his thoughts on Mahomes’s game, and what it meant to him. So, in return, he had this to say. Take a look at the YouTube clip below.

“To me, it’s (Patrick Mohomes’s game) is the perfect balance of everything you could teach, in terms of fundamentals, and reads, and all that type of stuff. I’m not going to sit here and talk football.

But the blend of what you can teach, and the intangibles, he’s just got such a great feel, great awareness, the flare for the dramatic, he likes to take chances. All that type of stuff. I love that style, same kind of way that I play.”

That is a very descriptive answer. And yet, it is one that makes complete sense. Both these athletes just seem to have that ‘it’ factor. They both do things that everyone thinks they can do too because it has their basis in the most basic of fundamentals. However, it’s that ‘it factor’ of theirs that truly makes it all impossible.

After 54 games played, Stephen Curry is currently averaging 29.6 points, 6.1 rebounds, and 6.3 assists per game. Additionally, he is shooting 49.1% from the field, 42.6% from three, and 91.5% from the free throw line.
