Andre Russell Last 10 IPL Innings: Is KKR all-rounder currently out of form?

Kolkata Knight Riders all-rounder Andre Russell is one of the biggest match-winners in T20 cricket. However, Russell has not been at his very best in the recent times. It has been quite long since we have witnessed a fire-power innings from the West Indian player. That said, the way he batted in Indian Premier League 2023 match against Punjab Kings provided hints of him finding his mojo again.

Ahead of IPL 2023, Russell played for Comilla Victorians in Bangladesh Premier League 2023. In three innings, he managed to score just 45 runs but had a strike rate of 166.66. As a bowler, he picked five wickets at an economy rate of 8.25.

Russell also was a part of Abu Dhabi Knight Riders in International League T20 2023. Knight Riders were dreadful in the tournament. In nine matches, Russell scored 196 runs at a strike rate of 151.93, where he scored one half-century. With the ball, Russell had five scalps to his name.

Even in Big Bash League 2022-23, Russell was quite average for the Melbourne Renegades. While Russell has been smashing the ball, but he has failed in converting those starts. In bowling, the wicket-taking ability of him has certainly taken an impact. If an injury-hit KKR want to do well this season, Russell will have to improve his performance.

Knight Rides will go head to head against Royal Challengers Bangalore tonight, and Russell just loves batting against RCB. In 15 innings against them, Russell has scored 396 runs at an average of 36.00. He has a tremendous strike rate of 205.18.

However, he has not done that well with the ball. Russell has scalped 12 wickets against Bangalore at an economy of 9.66. Russell will like the conditions at the Eden Gardens and should come good for KKR.
