Charles Leclerc and Arthur Enjoy 'Mind Games' After Attending Monte-Carlo Masters

Charles Leclerc seems to be enjoying F1’s extended break as he has kept himself busy by taking part in various activities. This past Sunday, the Monegasque attended the Monte-Carlo Masters tournament with his ‘best friend’ Pierre Gasly and his brothers.

A day after he attended the tennis event, he had an intense ‘training’ session with Gasly as the two F1 drivers hit the gym. And now on Tuesday, Charles spent time playing chess on his flight.

Most of the fans noted how Charles Leclerc was ‘enjoying’ while his brother Arthur was losing in a game of chess.

Charles Leclerc and Pierre Gasly attended both the men’s finals at the Monte-Carlo Masters this past Sunday. The two began the day by watching the men’s doubles match between the teams of Sam Weissborn and Romain Arneodo, and Ivan Dodig and Austin Krajicek.

Later in the day, they also attended the men’s singles final between Andrey Rublev and Holger Rune. Once this match was over, both Leclerc and Gasly also had a conversation with Rublev, who won his maiden Masters 1000 title.

Charles Leclerc’s 2023 season gets off to an awful start

Charles Leclerc has had a disastrous start to the 2023 season as he currently finds himself tenth in the championship with just six points. He is 14 points behind his Ferrari teammate Carlos Sainz and a whopping 63 points behind reigning champion Max Verstappen.

What makes his start to the 2023 campaign far worse is that he has just managed to finish two races. The Monegasque kickstarted this season with a DNF in Bahrain as his Ferrari suffered from an issue in the control electronics unit.

However, that was not the end of Leclerc’s troubles. The 25-year-old also had a DNF two weeks ago in Australia after he had a first-lap collision with Lance Stroll. Following the race, Leclerc admitted that he was at fault as he was too aggressive.

Since the Ferrari driver has not had the best of starts to the new season, he will now hope for a better race weekend in Baku. The Azerbaijan GP will take place from April 28 to 30.
