“Charles Barkley, I’ll Stab You If You Interrupt Me”: Shaquille O’Neal Threatens NBA on TNT Host’s Life
Shaquille O’Neal and Charles Barkley have been at odds with one another since the former joined ‘Inside the NBA’ in 2011. Chuck and Shaq have crossed paths during their playing days too, most famously getting into a physical altercation that bled into the courtside seats.
Now, as co-hosts on NBA on TNT, the two Hall-of-Fame big-men continue to duke it out on a nightly basis for the basketball world to see. It’s quite obvious that they have a brother-like relationship with one another but that’s exactly he reason why they get into a bevy of arguments and confrontations.
In the most recent edition of ‘Inside the NBA’, as the crew was talking about Game 4 of Golden State Warriors-Sacramento Kings, Shaq and Charles hilariously got into it once again.
Shaquille O’Neal and Charles Barkley threaten each other yet again
The Golden State Warriors have evened up the series with the Sacramento Kings at 2 a piece after going down 0-2 to start the best of 7 off. ‘Inside the NBA’ broke down what Ernie Johnson calls the ‘best series in the 2023 Playoffs’ and as they were, Charles Barkley didn’t let Shaquille O’Neal finish his sentence.
This, as expected, led to Shaq becoming enraged and threatened Chuck’s life by telling him he would stab him if he ever interrupts him again. Barkley, with no hesitation, responds by telling him he’ll hit him in his bad hip.
SHAQ: “Interrupt me one more time…” 😳
Chuck: “I’m gonna kick you in your bad hip” 🤣 pic.twitter.com/x4ofct2eBK— NBA on TNT (@NBAonTNT) April 24, 2023
It should be noted that this is all in jest and the two do not have any form of animosity towards one another. This clip is also quite reminiscent of the time Shaq went off on Barkley for speaking twice and taking up his minute of speaking time.
Shaquille O’Neal recently had a hip surgery done
Shaquille O’Neal had been missing from TNT broadcast for quite some time towards the end of the 2023 regular season. Many speculated on what the reason for this might be. Some claimed he was holed up in his house to avoid lawyers that approached him regarding the FTX case.
However, it was revealed by ‘the Big Aristotle’ himself that he had undergone hip surgery. He would take to social media to poke fun at himself and hilariously claim that he had gone through with a BBL.
