“Long Before He Was a Warrior”: Klay Thompson Reminisces His Journey With Stephen Curry Following Game 4 Win over the Kings
The duo of Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson is historical. Together, the sharpshooters of the Golden State Warriors, have made history on multiple occasions. From dominating the three-point records to becoming one of the most lethal guard combos of the last decade, Klay and Curry have done it all.
Last season, they also won their fourth championship together. Their long campaign was fruitful and was just the fairy tale return Thompson deserved after his long and painful hiatus.
Now in the midst of another hard series, the duo of Klay and Curry is still doing all they can for their team. With their most recent win over the Kings, they have now tied the series at 2-2.
After the game, Klay was complimented by a reporter on the impact the Splash Brothers have had on the series. The compliment sent Thompson down the nostalgia lane and he ended up reminiscing about his journey with Stephen Curry.
Klay Thompson reminisces his journey alongside Stephen Curry
Thompson during the post-game interview after defeating the Kings in Game 4 discussed how and when he started to admire Stephen Curry. As per Klay, he first became a fan of his teammate even before he started playing for the Warriors.
Thompson confessed that he had followed Curry since his Davidson days. In fact, Klay even attended a game where Curry and Davidson faced UCLA at Anaheim long before he was drafted by the Warriors.
Thompson also commented on Curry’s fitness and competitiveness. He even claimed that it seemed Steph has been the same age since 2012. Perhaps it was his way of saying how fit Steph is as an athlete.
Thompson: “I’ve admired Steph long before he was a Warrior… Just appreciate his hard work. I get to see it every day… I feel like Steph’s been the same age since 2012… Just to still be out here playing a playoff game with him, it’s a great feeling.”

The Splash Brothers face a tough challenge ahead
This season wasn’t the best for the Warriors. Despite their impeccable home record, they were ridiculously horrible on the road. However, fortunately, despite the 2-0 start to the series, they have managed to tie it.
But the challenge is still not over yet. The Warriors still have a long journey ahead in this postseason. They will need to be far more efficient on the offense and not make so many errors in the last few minutes of the game. The Splash Brothers will certainly play a key role in running the offense but the team will also need them to lead them to another successful campaign.
