7ft 1″ Shaquille O’Neal, Who Loved Vince Carter’s Game, Posts 46-year-old’s Impressive Dunk on IG
Shaquille O’Neal was once a ferocious athlete. Known for his earth-shaking dunks and unstoppable post moves, the 7ft 1″ monster dominated the NBA like no one before him.
It was Shaq’s ferocity in the face of any opponent that made him such a destructive force. To Diesel, a rim and a man were all the same. They were meant to be trampled.
When you are as dominant as O’Neal, hardly anything impresses you. But fortunately, Shaquille O’Neal is a passionate lover of the game. To him, certain players and the way they approached the game was really exciting.
One of those players is Vince Carter. The Toronto Raptors legend was a high flier who shocked the world with his dunks. Shaquille O’Neal apparently is still impressed by Vince Carter.
Shaquille O’Neal shares Vince Carter dunk on IG story
Shaquille O’Neal is a frequent Instagram user. He loves to interact with his fans through his stories. Usually, O’Neal’s stories have no connection and are seemingly random.
However, apart from funny standup or meme videos, O’Neal also enjoys sharing stories of athletes. Naturally, a lot of those stories are about NBA players of the past and present.
In fact, his most recent story featured Vince Carter. The 6ft 6″ Raptors legend, who was known to be one of the most impressive dunkers of his era, was, without any surprise, also dunking in the IG story posted by the 7ft 1″ Lakers legend.
What is surprising though, and the reason Diesel may have considered it worth sharing, is that Vince in the video is reportedly 46 years old. His athleticism, by all means, did not look like a man of his age though. He looked like an athlete still in his athletic prime.

Vince played professionally until he was 43
Vince retired from NBA in 2020 after playing 22 years in the league. In his prolific career, he represented 8 teams. An 8-time All-Star, at the time of his retirement, Carter was 43.
There have been only 3 players in history who were older than Vince at the time of their retirements. But still, to be able to dunk at the age of 46 the way Vince did is not at all an easy feat and deserves everyone’s praise.
No wonder Shaq once claimed that Vince was one of the only three players he did not mess with. The other two were Tracy McGrady and Jason Williams aka the White Chocolate.
