“You’re Second Already Behind Dwight Howard”: Charles Barkley Burns Shaquille O’Neal With Blazing Hot Take on Paolo Banchero
Shaquille O’Neal and Charles Barkley may like each other, but boy do they enjoy roasting each other so much more. After all, they do it so often, you’d think that the show ‘Inside the NBA’ was really about them and nothing else. And frankly, the whole thing is so hilarious, that it is now all the people want from the show.
Of course, given that fact, these co-panelists were always going to look for some hilarious ways to make it happen. And perhaps a little bit to the chagrin of brand new rookie of the year, Paolo Banchero, it all happened during what was supposed to be his moment of coronation. Let’s dive right in.
Paolo Banchero gets called one of the only great centers in the Magic’s history by Charles Barkley
Paolo Banchero had a very good rookie season in the NBA, beyond solid to say the least. However, to call the man great already is a whole other matter. However, the thing is, that isn’t what Chuck wants you to focus on. Take a look at what he said below.
“Other than Dwight Howard, you’re another great Orlando [Magic] big man. Not many great men in Orlando. You’re second already behind Dwight (Howard).”

For those that are still clueless as to what is going on here, Shaquille O’Neal played his early years in Orlando, as the Magic’s franchise star. Further, he of course had a little beef with Dwight Howard over a multitude of different, very childish things. And as you may already know, Shaq was on the panel next to the Chuckster.
So yes, what was supposed to be Paolo Banchero’s special moment in the sun after a season brilliantly played was plagued by two old hilarious ‘has beens’ throwing a few shots at each other. We thank you for your sacrifice, Paolo. It will not go unappreciated.
What did Paolo Banchero average during this past regular season?
In 72 games played, Paolo Banchero averaged 20 points, 6.9 rebounds, 3.7 assists, 0.8 steals, and 0.5 blocks per game. Additionally, he shot 42.7% from the field, 29.8% from beyond the arc, and 73.8% from the charity stripe.
