Ajinkya Rahane Stats vs RR: How Many Runs has CSK Batter Scored at Sawai Mansingh Stadium?

Chennai Super Kings batter Ajinkya Rahane is in terrific form in Indian Premier League 2023. The right-handed batter had a terrible IPL last year but CSK bought him at his base price of INR 50 Lakh in the auction before the ongoing season. He was not a part of the Playing XI initially but he has now grabbed the opportunity with both hands.

In five matches so far, Rahane has scored 209 runs at an average of 52.25. A strike-rate of 199.04 is proof that Rahane has been smashing the bowlers all over the park. He has already blasted 18 fours and 11 sixes this season.

Rahane won the Player of the Match in the last match against Kolkata Knight Riders for scoring a hard-hitting 71* (29). After the match, he said that his best is yet to come in the tournament. Chennai’s next assignment is against Rajasthan Royals at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur.

For the majority of his IPL career, Rahane has been a part of the Royals. Hence, it is clear that he has not played many matches against his former side. In fact, he has played just four matches against Rajasthan, where he has scored 44 runs at an average of 11. Rahane’s strike-rate in those four matches has been 102.33.

The current bowling lineup of RR is one of the best in the side’s history. Jaipur’s pitch is also not the easiest of surfaces for scoring but Rahane is in top form at the moment. It will be an intriguing battle between the RR bowlers and Chennai’s number three.

There is no hiding to the fact that Rahane just loves batting at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur. He is the highest T20 run-scorer at this ground. In IPL, the former Royals captain has scored 1,100 runs at an average of 39.29 with the help of one century and seven half-centuries.

In overall T20s here, Rahane has scored 1,323 runs at an average of 41.34. He has hit 149 boundaries and 20 sixes with the bat. Rahane will aim to continue doing the same tonight. He has not played a single inernational match at the venue.
