Lawrence Stroll wants Lance at Force India from Spa
Lawrence Stroll wants Lance at Force India from Spa, as he wants his son to help in the development of the 2019 car
Lawrence Stroll buying Force India is bound to trigger the driver market, as Lawrence wants his son, Lance to race for Force India.
And no, he is not ready to wait for the 2019 season.
Lawrence wants Lance at Force India from the Belgian GP, so as to help with the development of the car for the 2019 season. The move would be in favour of both Force India and Stroll, but will put Ocon out of a seat, as Sergio Perez seems to be Force India’s choice out of the two drivers at their disposal.
Stroll’s move away from Williams would mean Robert Kubica returning to the F1 grid after a long absence.

Kubica is currently Williams’ reserve driver and would rightfully take his place when Stroll leaves. And if that is certain to happen in Spa, we could very well see Kubica back in action in 7 days time.
Now, where does Ocon go?
Well, he could have moved to Renault, if Ricciardo hadn’t already signed for them. According to reports in the Belgian media, Ocon is set for move to McLaren, one which will see him replace Vandoorne.
Vandoorne has been under a lot of pressure and it so may happen that he could be forced out of his seat right on the cusp of his home grand prix.
Sainz and Ocon could form a good team for McLaren, but will McLaren be tempted to bring in a senior driver in? However, there really aren’t many choices available.
Red Bull too need to quickly sort out the vacant Ricciardo seat problem. Will it be Gasly?
It seems like Lawrence Stroll is calling the shots in the driver market.
