“Know Who To Talk To, Jimmy Butler Is Cooking Grant Williams”: Draymond Green Seemingly References Dillon Brooks-LeBron James Scuffle
Jimmy Butler and the Miami Heat are en route to establishing themselves as perhaps the greatest 8th seed in NBA history. On their way to taking up a 2-0 lead against the second seeded Boston Celtics, Butler and Grant Williams got into a war of words that led to them butting heads in the process. Draymond Green, a man who isn’t afraid of physical confrontation and enjoys the ‘game within the game’, took to Twitter to throw shade at Grant while perhaps references another moment involving his ‘best friend’ in these Playoffs.
As expected, the second the Celtics took their foot off the pedal, the Coach Spo and the Heat took advantage. They would go on an 18-4 run late in the 4th quarter with the Celts only points after that run coming off a couple free throws.
Miami, with their 2-0 lead, has decimated Boston’s home-court advantage and is now heading back to South Beach in hopes of winning both at home and sweeping Jayson Tatum and company.
Draymond Green ‘warns’ Grant Williams about talking to Jimmy Butler
Draymond Green has had his fair share of bombastic Playoff moments. So, seeing Jimmy Butler touch foreheads with Grant Williams must’ve brought back several memories for the former Defensive Player of the Year.
Green took to Twitter to tweet out, “Gotta know when to talk and to who, Jimmy cookin’ Grant. And now he out lol.”

Both Grant and Jimmy were chirping at one another throughout the latter part of the game. the Li-Ning athlete got a couple of tough buckets on him and Grant made a wide-open three leading to him talking trash to him.

However, what led to Grant being subbed out was a fadeaway bucket from the baseline from Butler, leading to what Green said at the end of his tweet.
Was Draymond Green referencing the LeBron James-Dillon Brooks beef?
Draymond tweeting this out has also led many to believe that he’s clearly referencing the first round series between the Lakers and the Grizzlies. This series saw Dillon Brooks talk an inordinate amount of trash to LeBron James, resulting in the Grizz getting beat by 40 points in Crypto Arena in Game 6 and getting eliminated from the postseason.
Green and the Warriors had their own separate rivalry with Memphis in last year’s Western Conference Semis. Brooks was an irritant in that series as well and has had a scuffle with Draymond and company in the past. It wouldn’t be surprising in the slightest if Green kept this in mind while tweeting this out.
