Esteban Ocon releases emotional statement on social media
With the Leclerc-Raikkonen swap announced today, the silly season has almost run its course, with a lot of the driver lineups for 2019 almost finalised.
However, the Racing Point Force India-Williams situation is still left to be dealt with.
Lawrence Stroll bringing Force India out of administration means that Lance Stroll is almost certain to make the move from Williams to Racing Point Force India.
That leaves Esteban Ocon in a very dire situation, as Perez is almost certain to retain his seat at Racing Point Force India.
Stroll’s arrival would mean that Ocon would have to hope for a seat to miraculously appear. A Williams seat could be a chance for Ocon to save his F1 career, but at the moment that looks unlikely, unless Mercedes offer some favours to Williams.
All other doors seem shut for Ocon, as he is a Mercedes driver and no other team would want him unless Mercedes work out a deal for him.
Amidst all this tension, the young man has come up with a wonderful and emotional message about his F1 future and how he isn’t fazed by what is happening around him.

Ocon has vowed to work hard in order to get what he deserves and feels that he has the required motivation and skill to make it big in the world of F1.
For the moment, he is focussed on the Singapore weekend, wherein he will be determined to score some points for himself and his team.
What do you think about the future of Esteban Ocon and what does it tell you about F1?
