However, NFL analyst Dan Orlovsky has made a bold prediction for the upcoming 2023 season. He believes that 2023 would be the year of Jalen Hurts. If Orlovsky is to be believed, then Hurts is primed to win the coveted MVP award.

During a recent segment of ‘First Take’, Orlovsky voiced his opinion that Hurts is in the most favorable position to claim the MVP honors. Although, it wouldn’t be easy for Hurts as he’ll face tough competition from Patrick Mahomes and Josh Allen. This prediction from Dan Orlovsky sparked a debate among the panelists, with some agreeing and others offering their two cents on the matter.

Dan Orlovsky is Backing Jalen Hurts to Go Big in 2023

Dan Orlovsky recently reflected on the idea of Jalen Hurts winning the MVP in the 2023 NFL season. In a ‘First Take’ episode, he justified his bold prediction by claiming, “we’ve never seen him drop off. We’ve only seen this outrageous ascension and for that because of what’s around him and because we have no data that tells me he’s not going to improve.”

“And the last time we saw him on the field, he was the best player in football or the best player on the field that day. I say he’s in the best situation. Patrick’s in a good one; Josh Allen is in a very good one; but I think Jalen is in the best situation to go in MVP,” Dan added.

As the situation currently stands, there’s no doubt in the NFL world that Patrick Mahomes is the best QB out there. However, if we go by Orlovsky’s assessment, ‘Jalen Hurts for MVP’ doesn’t seem like an outrageous prediction either. Philadelphia Eagles would be hoping that this prediction by Orlovsky comes true.

“I would agree Patrick Mahomes is the favorite. The Kansas City Chiefs, when it comes to their wide receivers, there’s only two teams in the NFL that have less receptions by the receivers, Green Bay Packers are one who’s probably the youngest team in the NFL right now and the Atlanta Falcons”.

Dan further stated, “I understand Patrick is unbelievable, but there are a lot of unproven weapons in Kansas City. So maybe that hinders them just a little bit in their performance”.
