However, Nikola Jovic knew the best way to humble the Canadian star’s arrogance. After the Serbs defeated Canada in a 95-86 semi-final victory, Jovic was seen openly mocking Dillon Brooks’ boxing moves in the tunnel.

Dillon Brooks is rather infamous for his trash-talks and rough handling of opponents while playing against any team. This has earned him significant criticism from all ends of the NBA community, including players and fans. However, this time, he got the taste of his own medicine.

Many sources claim that Brooks was trying to taunt the Slovenian players with his distasteful celebration in the tunnel. In the end result of the match, Slovenia faced a 100-89 defeat against Canada, much to the horror of Dallas Mavericks star Luka Doncic.

Another European, Nikola Jovic was waiting on the other end to seek redemption for Luka. As the Canadians faced Serbia in the semi-finals, and Dillon Brooks’ team was ousted in a 95-86 win to reach the gold medal match.

The Serbs will next face Germany in the final fixture of the 2023 FIBA World Cup. The Germans defeated a formidable Team USA in the semi-finals 111-113 when many fans were expecting the United States to face Jovic and the Serbs in the Finals.

Luka Doncic praised Dillon Brooks despite aggressive play by the Canadian

Luka Doncic seemed frustrated after an ejection and eventual loss in the quarter-final game against Canada. However, he had no bad blood against the Canadians or Dillon Brooks. Despite Brooks’ aggressive display of toughness against Slovenia, Doncic took his time to praise the Houston Rockets star for his performance.

“I think Dillon [Brooks] played great. He was very physical, like he always does. A lot of people don’t like him, but I respect him for what he does.”

This is truly one of the best shows of sportsmanship from the Slovenian star. Though Dillon Brooks is in the bad books of many, Luka is willing to forgive any on-court shenanigans and move past to face his next challenge.
