Ocon’s message for George Russell on securing Williams drive for 2019
Esteban Ocon is enduring a tough phase in his F1 career, as slowly but steadily he is coming to terms with the fact that he might not be a part of the sport for the 2019 season.
His last chance was supposedly the Williams seat, one that would be vacant after Stroll’s imminent move to Racing Point Force India. However, with Williams’ announcement of George Russell today, the ‘Williams hope’ for Ocon is diminishing by the hour.
Reports suggest that Kubica has found a $10 million sponsorship backing and as he was the reserve driver for Williams this season, he would in all probability be the second driver for Williams in 2019.
Ocon thus finds himself in a fix and might have to either settle for a sabbatical year or will have to do with being the reserve driver for Mercedes.

The young Force India driver though has been a gentleman all through the recent months of turmoil, earlier asking people to not direct their hate towards Stroll, despite he very well knowing that Stroll could be the very reason why Ocon would be out of F1 in 2019.
And now, with George Russell getting that Williams seat, Ocon’s future looks all the more bleak(or would it be bleak in that Williams car?).
However, Ocon still managed to come up with a brilliant message for George Russell, wishing him the best for the upcoming season.
“Congratulations to George Russell for his F1 promotion. Well deserved, and great news for our sport!” Ocon tweeted.

What does the future hold for Esteban Ocon? Do you see him driving in that second Williams seat or will he have to sit out the 2019 season?
